Ayer el Barrio de Traviesas, Vigo, PO era un hervidero de emociones incontroladas por la presencia em Castrelos de Patti Smith, la ex-punk dama neoyorkina. El ambiente se caldeó en una clásica cervecería alemana del barrio y a ritmo de "einsvaitbiar" y bratwursts variadas, la banda se fue preparando para el evento. En el sentido de las agujas del reloj, Cervi, Marta, Sabela, Marianella, Maria, Isaac, Tedhead, Lucky Lucas, Suso, Ppz, Peich, Fraulein Pintos, Trigo, y El Pelda. En otro local no lejano y esta vez en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj, Nardo, Ruben, Carlos Hush y 2 fans, Rael y Doc Carter tambien estaban calentando. Todo era camaradería y gracejo pero el ambiente estaba enrarecido. Eran ya las 21:30 y Johnny S. (Smith) aun no habia dado señales de vida. Enemigo acérrimo del deporte y a pesar de su querencia stoniana desestimó el "exilio -a pié - por la main street", y dicen que se bajó hasta el concierto en moto. Eso es pose y lo demás cuentos. (je..., todo por la Biografía autorizada)

El encuentro entre los dos grupúsculos, se hizo de forma ordenada y ya cerca del recinto. En la puerta se podía mascar la tensión y una moto aparcada de mala forma ( en el suelo) y con el escape aun humeante lo decía todo. Johnny S. había llegado. El concierto comenzó con un sonido compacto, falto de volumen (quizás) y con Patti entregada. Su setentero dancing style, sorprendió a más de uno, pero la calidez de su voz convencía. El grupo 50 % vintage y 50% savia nueva, sonaba más que correcto y asi los temas se fueron desgranando uno a uno. No faltaron las referencias al dia (18-Julio), y el toque intelectual -someone dixit " demasiado Lorca".."pero me está gustando"-. Cuando más concentrados estábamos y en la oscuridad apareció un ser extraño que dijo ser Fuckie que junto a Oscar "El Punkie" y Rael, se fundieron en un efusivo (creo yo) y emocionante abrazo. Una noche de altibajos, intensa "Free Money", genial el tema adicado a los amigos muertos ( Lorca, etc...je), floja y y sin gas "Because the Night", poderosa "People have the power", y una corta y amarga versión de "Gloria" como despedida. La Sra.Smith bajó a la primera fila, pero el Sr. Smith no aparecía. Entre las imágenes de quinceañeras en las pantalas, alguien dijo ver a un motero sofocado y sobreexcitado. Pero no, ese no era nuestro Johnny. Al no encontrarlo nos quedamos con un sabor amargo de fin de fiesta ( Patti too). Las luces se encendieron y el auténtico Facas apareció con los Lopo ( Frères et Soeurs Partenaires Ltd.), pero ellos tampoco sabian nada del motero rockero. Al salir del recinto, de la moto solo vimos la estela humeante. Nuestro Motorcycle Boy particular ya había volado. La noche terminó en una terraza de los aledaños bajo los efectos del clásico humor Coyote-Miñor-Bereber y ante las increibles historias de uno de los supervivientes de los 5.000 reclusos del internado-concentration camp de Cheste. Pd. Anyway, Anyhow, lo dicho...Ayer tomamos Manhattan...luego tomaremos Berlin ( J.Bosco " El adelantado"... nos informará... Ya !!!). Ya lo sabes: Julio, Agosto o Setiembre...este año..Berlín !!! ( luego no digas que no te avisamos)...claro que... los baños de setiembre en ..."Scopello" (¿?), tampoco diria yo que no...je. Felices Vacances a tutti il mondo de A Madriña.

¿Ex-punk dama neoyorkina? Al ver lo que vi, pensé que estaba en un romántico concierto del día de los enamorados... ¿Sólo humeaba la moto?
Qué acertada crítica, Madriña!. La primera parte del concierto me pareció extraordinaria: Space monkey, Ask the angels, Free money...sonaron potentes y vivas. A partir de la insulsa enumeración de peixes y mariscos varios el concierto fue perdiendo garra debido, creo yo, al empecinamiento de Mrs Smith en convertir en happening literario y reivindicativo lo que sólo debia ser un concierto de rock. A mí me sobró tanta palabrería y, sobre todo, me faltó energía y convicción, especialmente en Because the night, que fue una cagada total.
Y demasiadas little songs!
